Capriverde’s goat cheese Fine, special cheeses, with distinct favor and smell, produced by Capriverde, a goat milk producers association in the Mantiqueira Mountains, which is a solid group organized in early 2004 – an association of small producers in partnership with Leite Alvorada, producer of Val Di Fiemme cheeses. In addition to processing raw material, Capriverde also sells their delicious goat cheese. Types of goat cheese offered: Chevrotin (500 g (1.10 lb) and 800 g (1.76 lb)) A very distinct, French-origin Curado (matured cheese), being a light, but also slightly spicy dish. It’s a fine cheese, tasty as appetizer, which goes well with wines. Boursin (120 g (0.26 lb)) A fresh cheese, similar to a pâté, seasoned with fine herbs and a soft pepper called Poavre Rouge. A cheese of mild flavor, consumed as hors-d'oeuvre along with wine or beer, and bread. |
